As a Junior DevOps & SRE Engineer, you will work on Quvia’s NextGen connectivity platform. Your role is critical in ensuring the reliability and scalability of our flagship product. You will be responsible for supporting the team with on-call responsibilities in a 24/7 environment, managing system health, and troubleshooting complex connectivity issues. You will participate in Proof of Concepts (POCs) and help onboard new fleets and customers onto the Quvia platform.
This role requires a strong technical foundation in Linux administration and cloud computing with AWS . You will assist in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management to automate deployment pipelines. Collaborating across cross-functional teams, you will gain end-to-end experience with enterprise products, directly impacting customers in the aviation and maritime sectors. At Quvia, you will solve unique problems at the intersection of AI, edge computing, and global infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Support the engineering team with 24/7 on-call responsibilities and rotational shifts.
Assist in the development and validation of new Proof of Concepts (POCs) .
Manage the technical onboarding process for new customer fleets and systems.
Monitor system performance using modern tools and ensure high availability (SRE).
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and Shell .
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for connectivity platform updates.
Maintain infrastructure using Docker and configuration management tools.
Collaborate with global teams in the US and UK to ensure seamless data movement.
Skills & Eligibility
Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Programming: Strong proficiency in Shell and Python with OOP knowledge.
OS: Solid working knowledge of Linux administration and commands.
Cloud: Hands-on experience or knowledge of AWS services .
Automation: Knowledge of Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) .
DevOps Tools: Familiarity with Docker , monitoring tools, and CI/CD networking.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Availability: Must be comfortable working in a 24/7 rotational shift model.
