As an entry-level Software Engineer at Caterpillar, you will be expected to perform regular implementation, system maintenance, and support activities within an active agile framework:
Designing, modifying, developing, writing, and deploying complex software programming applications for target ecosystems using modern agile methods.
Acquiring client operational requirements and mapping technical methods to resolve challenging workflow problems through structured automation optimization.
Writing clean source codes for brand new applications, as well as generating, updating, and enhancing pre-existing application code samples.
Utilizing enterprise automated testing tools to perform rigorous software testing and post-deployment validation maintenance.
