Key Responsibilities
- As an entry-level Software Engineer at Caterpillar, you will be expected to perform regular implementation, system maintenance, and support activities within an active agile framework:
- Designing, modifying, developing, writing, and deploying complex software programming applications for target ecosystems using modern agile methods.
- Acquiring client operational requirements and mapping technical methods to resolve challenging workflow problems through structured automation optimization.
- Writing clean source codes for brand new applications, as well as generating, updating, and enhancing pre-existing application code samples.
- Utilizing enterprise automated testing tools to perform rigorous software testing and post-deployment validation maintenance.
Skills & Eligibility
- Decision Making & Critical Thinking: Capability to accurately analyze live technical situations, organize relevant data points, minimize execution risks, and arrive at highly productive decisions.
- Effective Communications: Ability to share constructive behavioral updates, prepare clear reports or technical presentations, and express ideas comfortably without over-relying on unnecessary technical jargon when interacting with non-technical stakeholders.
- Applicants must possess a formal, full-time B.E. or B.Tech degree from a recognized college or educational university institution.
