Key Responsibilities

  • As a Software Engineer Intern at EA, you will be responsible for:
  • Building and integrating custom tools to automate processes and drastically improve operational efficiency.
  • Creating, maintaining, and enhancing Game call pattern simulation code in C++/Scala to support new applications and internal features.
  • Performing advanced stress and load testing. This includes designing tests, drafting gameplay-driven scenarios, evaluating actual game logs to represent load accurately, and setting up distributed test environments.
  • Executing tests and providing accurate analytical reporting on the test results.
  • Analyzing and systematically troubleshooting system and network issues related to software performance and test automation processes.
  • Performing thorough root cause analysis to isolate test issues versus core system component issues.
  • Collaborating closely with peers to track, resolve, and document issues.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to Electronic Arts’ policies, NDAs, and overarching security guidelines while providing prompt communication of issues.

Skills & Eligibility

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a strictly related field.
  • Knowledge in core programming languages like C++, Scala, or Python.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure systems such as AWS (preferable), GCP, or Azure.
  • Knowledgeable in the area of scalable platform architecture, and end-to-end systems design.
  • Familiarity with visualization platforms (e.g., Grafana) and database technologies (e.g., MySQL, Redis).
  • Passion and creative mindset for complex problem-solving.
  • Able to work independently, organize workloads and priorities effectively, and execute tasks with high-quality technical innovation.
