Job Description
As a Junior Engineer Intern at Cornerstone under the Cornerstone Recruitment 2026 drive, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of high-scale software products. Your primary focus will be the design, development, and execution of automated test scripts using in-house tools and frameworks. This role isn’t just about finding bugs; it’s about implementing efficient automated test strategies that move the needle for our global workforce platform.
You will work in an Agile environment , collaborating closely with developers to understand requirements and provide input on software testability. This position offers a deep dive into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) , where you will manage test data, maintain environments, and contribute to continuous improvement in automation. It is a perfect fit for a self-motivated learner with a passion for high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using in-house frameworks and tools.
Collaborate with the development team to analyze software requirements and testability.
Execute automated test cases to verify the functionality and reliability of global software releases.
Identify, debug, and report software defects, working with engineers for timely resolution.
Create and manage test data, environments, and detailed test documentation.
Participate in sprint planning, test estimation, and high-level strategy discussions.
Stay updated with the latest testing methodologies, including Playwright and Appium.
Ensure all software releases meet the high-quality standards expected by 100 million+ users.
Skills & Eligibility
Education: BE/B.Tech in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Testing Foundations: Strong knowledge of software testing concepts, methodologies, and techniques.
Programming: Familiarity with at least one language, such as Java or Python .
Automation Tools: Knowledge of Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Appium, or TestNG is a major plus.
SDLC & Tools: Basic understanding of Agile methodologies and tools like Jenkins, Jira, and TestRail .
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities to identify and debug complex defects.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
