Job Description

As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will support the automation and day-to-day operations of platforms that power global equity and digital asset benchmarks. Guided by senior engineers, you will contribute to infrastructure-as-code (IaC) , containerized services, and environment provisioning. Your role is vital in ensuring that client-facing APIs and real-time data pipelines run securely and reliably across Azure and AWS environments.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions. Your daily tasks will include writing automation scripts in Bash or Python to streamline routine operations, monitoring system health dashboards, and participating in incident response. This is a collaborative role where you will work with cross-functional teams in Research, Product, and Legal to maintain the high standards of a leading financial benchmarks provider.

Assist in managing cloud resources primarily in Azure (with some AWS exposure).
Support the build, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CI/CD pipelines .
Write basic automation scripts using Bash, Python, or PowerShell .
Monitor application performance and system health using dashboards.
Help manage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools and containerized environments.
Support security practices including IAM permissions and secret management.
Maintain runbooks and technical documentation for platform stability.
Participate in incident response and improve alerting/logging systems.
Collaborate with global teams in Frankfurt and New York on deployment processes.

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field.
Cloud: Fundamental understanding of Linux systems and Cloud concepts.
CI/CD: Exposure to tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
Scripting: Basic skills in Python or Bash for automation tasks.
Tools: Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
Nice-to-Have: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform .
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, and excellent communication.
Mindset: Team player with a proactive attitude and a passion for technology.
