Job Description

For the Volvo Off Campus Drive 2026, the team is looking for Graduate Apprentice Trainees to join the software development team. You will assist in developing and maintaining software solutions used in Volvo CE products. This is a one-year structured apprenticeship designed to provide practical training and skill development.
You will work under the supervision of senior developers, participating in the full software development life cycle (SDLC), from coding and debugging to testing and documentation. A strong willingness to learn new technologies in the domain of Embedded Systems is essential.

As a Graduate Apprentice Trainee at Volvo, your key responsibilities will include:
Software Development: Assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of software applications using Java, Python, C, or C++.
Testing: Participating in unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing activities.
Version Control: Using Git for code check-in, branching, and merging.
Project Management: Monitoring and reporting task progress through tools like JIRA.
Collaboration: Collaborating with internal stakeholders and attending technical/soft skills training mandated under the NATS program.
Documentation: Documenting code, modules, and technical workflows as per project standards.

To be eligible for Volvo Off Campus Drive 2026, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Educational Background: B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or relevant engineering discipline from an AICTE/UGC recognized institution.
NATS Eligibility: Must be a fresh graduate eligible for the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (no prior apprenticeship experience).
Mandatory Technical Skills:Exposure to at least one programming language: Java, Python, C, or C++.Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Strong willingness to learn technologies in the Embedded Systems domain.
