Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alerts and incidents using SIEM systems and other security tools.
  • Assist with investigation and response to security incidents.
  • Support response activities involving malware infections, unauthorized access and data breaches.
  • Analyse security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Assess the potential impact of identified threats.
  • Recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Review system and network logs for suspicious activity.
  • Identify potential security breaches through log analysis.
  • Support vulnerability scanning and assessment activities.
  • Assist in coordinating vulnerability remediation.
  • Maintain detailed records of security incidents.
  • Document analysis, actions taken and recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist with security-awareness initiatives and training.
  • Communicate security best practices across the organization.
  • Work closely with IT, development and other teams to integrate security controls into processes and systems.

Skills & Eligibility

  • Candidates should meet the educational and experience requirements specified for the Graduate Engineer Trainee (SecOps) position.
  • B.E/B.Tech qualification.
  • Candidates with a background relevant to IT or technology are suited to the role.
  • 0–1 year of relevant experience.
  • Experience in security operations or IT is relevant.
  • Internship and co-op experience can be considered.
  • Familiarity with SIEM systems.
  • Understanding of firewalls.
  • Knowledge of intrusion detection and prevention systems such as IDS/IPS.
  • Familiarity with antivirus software.
  • Basic networking concepts and protocols including TCP/IP, DNS and HTTP/S.
  • Experience with log analysis and monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of common security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Awareness of the OWASP Top 10.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • Similar entry-level cybersecurity certifications
  • B.E/B.Tech qualification.
