Job Description
As a P1 Software Engineer, you will be immersed in Trimble’s AI-augmented Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) from day one. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills not just in coding, but in the future of engineering efficiency. You will learn to utilize advanced coding assistants and AI agents to write production-level features, ensuring high code quality and comprehensive test coverage.
Working under the direct mentorship of senior (P3 and P4) engineers, you will implement well-defined tasks and user stories for our Cloud SaaS applications. You will participate in global code reviews, team sprints, and proactively explore new automation tools that help your team work smarter and faster, all while focusing on a “product-first” mindset that delivers immense value to the end-user.
Key Responsibilities
Guided AI Development: Learn to effectively use coding assistants and AI agents to write production-level features, ensuring high code quality and test coverage.
Feature Implementation: Work on well-defined tasks and user stories, contributing to Cloud SaaS applications under senior mentorship.
Collaborative Learning: Participate actively in global code reviews and Agile team sprints, utilizing AI tools to document work and understand system architectures.
Continuous Growth: Proactively explore new AI agents and automation tools that accelerate learning and improve team efficiency.
Problem Solving: Apply a logical approach to troubleshooting with a “product-first” mindset, focusing on value delivery.
Skills & Eligibility
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (Recent graduates welcome).
Foundational Knowledge: Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
Technical Aptitude: Academic or project exposure to either Option A (C#, .NET, and SQL) or Option B (Node.js, Java, or React/Angular).
Communication: Strong English communication skills to collaborate effectively with global teams in EMEA and the US.
