Job Description

In this role, you will be part of a specific project critical to Google’s infrastructure needs. Your work will involve writing high-quality product or system development code and performing rigorous code reviews to ensure accuracy, testability, and efficiency. You will be expected to manage project priorities and deliverables while maintaining a focus on large-scale system design and distributed computing.
A significant part of your role involves triaging and debugging complex system issues. You will analyze how software changes impact hardware, networks, and overall service quality. Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software solutions for Google Cloud.
Write clean, efficient code and maintain system documentation.
Conduct peer code reviews and provide feedback based on Google’s style guidelines.
Triage and resolve complex system issues by analyzing hardware/network impacts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to redefine AI and infrastructure capabilities.
Optimize software for massive scale, reliability, and velocity.
Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience: At least 1 year of professional software development experience.
Programming: Strong proficiency in one or more languages like Java, C++, Python, or Go.
Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in a related technical field.
Technical Interests: Knowledge of distributed computing, networking, data storage, or AI/NLP.
Mindset: Leadership qualities and a desire to take on new problems across the full-stack.
