Job Description

  • As a Software Engineer at Michelin, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of application development—from initial design to deployment and maintenance. You will write clean, secure, and maintainable code using Lean and Agile methodologies. A significant part of your role will involve utilizing AI-powered development tools to complete testing, debugging, and incremental enhancements to Michelin’s application ecosystem, ensuring scalability and performance across all environments.
  • You will work closely with the DevSecOps team to implement Security by Design practices, ensuring that all custom and package-based applications meet global security standards. Your responsibilities include diagnosing incidents, providing technical support, and maintaining clear documentation. Whether you are working on Backend Cloud services or BI and Data pipelines , you will play a critical role in delivering consistent and performant software solutions for Michelin’s global operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy scalable applications using modern coding standards.
  • Write secure code following DevSecOps and “Security by Design” principles.
  • Leverage AWS cloud services for application hosting and scaling.
  • Implement incremental enhancements using AI-assisted development platforms.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical incidents to maintain application stability.
  • Maintain clear technical documentation for application changes and architecture.
  • Perform Linux-based scripting (Bash) for operational automation and task streamlining.
  • Collaborate with BI teams to support data-driven business requirements.

Skills & Eligibility

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Backend/Cloud: Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Backend technologies.
  • DevOps: Proficiency in Linux CLI and Bash scripting for automation.
  • Methodologies: Solid understanding of Lean, Agile, and DevSecOps techniques.
  • Mobile/Frontend: Familiarity with modern frontend or mobile frameworks is a plus.
  • QA: Experience in automated testing and quality assurance practices.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical abilities and a commitment to writing “beautiful code.”
