Job Description
As a Trainee Quality Analyst at Kensium, you will learn and support the QA process across multiple high-impact projects under the direct guidance of senior team members. You will be actively involved in ensuring end-to-end product quality spanning functional, UI/UX, and integration layers. Your daily operations will include reviewing business requirements, translating them into well-documented test cases, and executing them with precise attention to detail to uncover potential defects.
You will identify, log, and track software bugs using Jira , ensuring developers have clear reproduction steps for timely follow-ups. While the role primarily focuses on manual testing concepts initially, you will gain hands-on exposure to API and automation testing tools like Selenium and Postman as part of your core skill development. This role requires constant collaboration with developers, solution architects, and project managers to support smooth, timely, and bug-free application releases.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, maintain, and execute comprehensive test cases and scenarios for functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
Identify, log, and track software defects utilizing test management tools like Jira , ensuring clear defect reproduction steps.
Assist in validating defect fixes through meticulous retesting and regression testing cycles.
Participate actively in requirement reviews, sprint demos, and QA discussions to understand delivery expectations.
Prepare basic test execution reports highlighting the current testing status and observed system vulnerabilities.
Gain practical, hands-on exposure to modern automation and API testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Postman).
Collaborate continuously with Developers, UI/UX teams, and Project Managers to align on quality standards.
Follow established QA standards, testing types, and defect life cycle practices consistently.
Skills & Eligibility
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.
Certification (Mandatory): Must have successfully completed a formal course or certification in Software Testing.
Experience: Freshers with a strong proactive curiosity and enthusiasm for quality assurance.
Technical Knowledge: Clear understanding of the defect life cycle, testing types, and software testing concepts.
Tool Familiarity: Basic familiarity with Test Management tools (Jira is highly preferred). Preliminary exposure to Selenium or Playwright is a distinct advantage.
Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate bugs, strong analytical thinking, and a highly detail-oriented mindset.
