Job Description
As a Software Engineer at Kaleris, you will be instrumental in building the next generation of our products. You will analyze functional requirements and design software programs to precise specifications while providing vital technical support for both new and existing features. Your day-to-day will involve designing user interfaces, algorithms, and complex data structures, ensuring robust functionality across all Kaleris modules.
You will collaborate closely with a talented global team, communicating ongoing development efforts with supervisors in both India and the USA. This role requires rapid learning capabilities, an analytical mindset, and a strong proficiency in debugging to help shape state-of-the-art logistics applications.
Key Responsibilities
Software Development: Analyze functional requirements, design, and develop scalable software programs adhering to strict specifications.
Technical Support: Provide comprehensive technical support to maintain and enhance both new and legacy product features.
Design & Architecture: Design and maintain user interfaces, advanced algorithms, and data structures for various functional modules.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Create, maintain, and automate unit and functional test cases/suites using standard or proprietary tools.
Global Collaboration: Consistently communicate project statuses and ongoing development efforts to management teams based in India and the USA.
Skills & Eligibility
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field.
Programming Proficiency: Excellent Object-Oriented programming skills and a proven track record with high-performance technologies.
Debugging & IDEs: Highly proficient in troubleshooting and debugging, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in Visual Studio and Code Warrior IDEs.
Version Control: Experience working with source code control systems such as SVN, CVS, VSS, or equivalent modern repositories.
Bonus Knowledge: Exposure to logistics, container terminals, or real-time graphical application development is highly preferred and considered a major plus.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical abilities combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Willingness for occasional international travel to visit customers or remote offices.
