Job Description

  • As a Software Test Engineer at Visa, you will be an integral part of an Agile Product squad, reporting to the QA Engineering Manager. Your primary mission is to ensure the team delivers effective and scalable solutions by designing and maintaining robust QA solutions. You will be responsible for testing at various levels within CI/CD pipelines and ensuring high-quality delivery in a complex microservices environment .
  • You will utilize your strong coding skills in Java to develop automation scripts and support modern software delivery methods such as BDD, ATDD, and TDD . The role requires a deep understanding of Cloud-Native architectures and the ability to work with tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI. Additionally, you will explore desirable technologies such as Kafka, Kubernetes (EKS), and contract testing to ensure seamless integration across Visa’s global payment fabric.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an “Ambassador of Quality” within an Agile Product squad.
  • Design, build, and maintain effective QA automation solutions.
  • Perform comprehensive API testing and validate microservices.
  • Integrate and manage different testing levels within CI/CD pipelines .
  • Collaborate with Engineering Managers and developers to refine solution scalability.
  • Apply BDD (Behavior Driven Development) and TDD practices daily.
  • Utilize mocking tools and contract testing to validate system integrations.
  • Monitor and ensure quality metrics within a cloud-native (AWS/EKS) environment.

Skills & Eligibility

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Programming: Strong coding and scripting ability in Java .
  • API Testing: Proven experience in testing RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • DevOps: Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI .
  • Methodology: Good understanding of Agile, BDD, ATDD, and TDD principles.
  • Desired: Knowledge of Kafka, Kubernetes (EKS) , and Mocking tools.
  • Cloud: Understanding of Cloud-Native architectures and practices.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication for global collaboration.
