Job Description

As a Software Engineer at Sutherland, you will work within a collaborative, fast-paced environment to resolve complex software development challenges and support critical infrastructure projects. You will act as a pivotal bridge, translating visionary product requirements into executable, structured timelines. Your role will involve end-to-end technical leadership across application development, maintenance, and system testing ecosystems.
Your day-to-day operations will demand high-velocity Full-Stack expertise. You will build and scale backend features using Java and Spring Boot while crafting clean, dynamic frontend layers using Angular, HTML, and CSS. Managing relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), tracking tasks with JIRA, automating infrastructure via Shell Scripting, and managing code version control via GitHub will be core components of your workflow.

Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to translate product visions into executable development timelines.
Design, maintain, and implement full-stack application modules using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.
Write optimized database queries and manage storage operations across PostgreSQL and MySQL.
Develop automated background tasks and utilities utilizing Shell Scripting.
Create and validate robust backend APIs documented seamlessly through Postman and Swagger.
Ensure successful domain knowledge transfers across technical modules, acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Monitor daily project activities, tracking risks and technical dependencies through JIRA and Confluence.
Oversee service delivery and code quality parameters to guarantee absolute client and customer satisfaction.

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a computing discipline (B.E / B.Tech in CSE/IT, B.Sc Computers, BCA, MCA, or allied technical streams).
Domain Expertise: Prior experience or strong familiarity within Healthcare IT or IT Services Delivery ecosystems is highly preferred.
Backend Architecture: Robust practical experience building microservices using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful web services, and dependency managers like Maven.
Frontend Stack: High proficiency in client-side architectures, including Angular, HTML5, and CSS3.
Databases & Tooling: Hands-on proficiency with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), version control via GitHub, and testing using Postman/Swagger.
Soft Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, exceptional time management habits, critical-thinking capabilities, and a proactive sense of ownership.
