Job Description

As a Full Stack Engineer at Optum, you will be accountable for the full technology stack of the application, taking ownership of design, development, integration testing, quality assurance, and production support. Your primary focus will be developing new user-facing features using JAVA SpringBoot and React while deploying highly scalable Microservices. You will systematically translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, maintainable code.
Operating within an Agile framework, you will be an active participant in backlog grooming sessions, proactively suggesting improvements to business requirements. Your day-to-day operations will involve fine-tuning REST and SOAP-based web services , optimizing components for maximum performance across web devices, and managing containerized cloud deployments via CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins). Additionally, you will handle incident tickets related to distributed application modules and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.

Develop intuitive, user-facing features utilizing Java, SpringBoot, and ReactJS .
Translate application wireframes and architectural designs into high-quality, production-ready code.
Manage the end-to-end deployment of modular Microservices across enterprise cloud environments.
Optimize front-end and back-end components to ensure maximum performance across vast web environments.
Take accountability for the full software lifecycle: Design, integration testing, QA, and production support.
Handle problem and incident tickets efficiently to maintain distributed application stability.
Actively participate in Agile grooming sessions, analyzing and refining technical requirements.
Provide structural technical guidance and mentorship for junior and mid-level software engineers.

Education: B.Tech, MCA, M.Sc, or M.Tech degree (Requires a minimum of 16 years of formal education; correspondence courses are not considered relevant).
Core Development: Solid, proven experience in full-stack development utilizing Java, J2EE, and UI technologies .
Web Services & DB: Strong expertise in building and fine-tuning REST/SOAP-based web services and excellent knowledge of MySQL .
Frameworks: Comprehensive working knowledge of modern Spring and Hibernate frameworks.
Cloud & DevOps: Good conceptual and practical knowledge of Containerization, Cloud technologies, Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and Jenkins.
Security: Strong understanding of application security features and secure coding practices.
Soft Skills: Versatility to seamlessly switch between development, testing, and production support roles based on business demands.
