Job Description

  • As a Software Engineer at Newgen, you will design, develop, and deliver high-quality enterprise software solutions using core Java technologies across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Develop, code, and deploy robust software solutions utilizing Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, and SQL/Oracle databases.
  • Participate actively in unit testing, code reviews, system integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Author technical artifacts, including system design documents, test execution plans, and deployment runbooks.
  • Execute system troubleshooting, server log analysis, and database query optimization for enterprise applications.
  • Adhere strictly to corporate coding standards, design patterns, and quality engineering guidelines.
  • Assist in building Proof of Concepts (POCs), client product demonstrations, and post-delivery application installations.

Key Responsibilities

Skills & Eligibility

  • Education: B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science (CS) or Information Technology (IT), or Master of Computer Applications (MCA).
  • Academic Score: Minimum of 60% marks throughout 10th, 12th, Graduation, and Post-Graduation.
  • Career Gap: No major academic or professional employment gaps.
  • Work Experience: 1 to 2 years of hands-on software development experience in Java technologies.
  • Strong proficiency in Core Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, and JBoss application server environments.
  • Solid hands-on experience with Relational Databases using SQL / Oracle.
  • Firm grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, multi-tier software architecture, and web framework integration.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of SDLC workflows, web services, and system integration patterns.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with collaborative teamwork capability.
  • Willingness to work in client-facing environments and shift rotations when required.
  • Agility to learn new technology frameworks rapidly in a fast-paced environment.
