Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain robust end-to-end web applications supporting global laboratory systems.
  • Build secure RESTful Web APIs and consume internal/external microservices within an Agile framework.
  • Optimize SQL queries, perform code profiling, and resolve application performance bottlenecks.
  • Participate actively in peer code reviews, adhering to coding best practices and corporate security guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technical leads, business analysts, and quality assurance teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Participate in Agile sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups.

Skills & Eligibility

  • To qualify for the Software Engineer position at Eurofins Scientific, candidates must demonstrate strong expertise in end-to-end web software engineering:
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related technical disciplines (B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc/MCA).
  • Experience: 1 to 4 years of proven experience building scalable end-to-end web applications using Microsoft technology stacks.
  • Microsoft Tech Stack: Strong working knowledge of .NET, C#, ASP.NET Core, MVC, and WebAPI development.
  • Front-End Technologies: Expertise in Angular (Angular 2+), JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Database Management: Practical experience with MSSQL (SQL Server) and Cosmos DB, including writing efficient SQL queries and troubleshooting performance issues using SQL profiler.
  • Architecture & Design: Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts, SOLID design principles, and design patterns (Creational, Structural, Behavioral) in N-Tier and Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA).
  • Authentication & Authorization: Working knowledge of identity management, OAuth2, and OpenIDC protocol integration.
  • Testing Frameworks: Familiarity with Unit Testing and UI testing frameworks such as MS Test, Jasmine, MOQ, NUnit, or Karma.
  • Development Lifecycle & Tools: Hands-on usage of TFS (Team Foundation Server) / Azure DevOps, code review workflows (raising, reviewing, resolving), and Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
