As an Associate Release Engineer at Veeva, you will be the connective tissue between Engineering and Technical Operations. You will manage the CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) workflows that allow our developers to ship features safely and at high velocity. Your primary focus will be supporting existing release and change management processes, ensuring that every sprint ends with a stable, high-quality deployment to our cloud infrastructure.
Daily life in this role involves heavy hands-on work with Git, Jenkins, and JIRA . You will execute deployment activities for each sprint, monitor pipeline health, and troubleshoot any blockers in the release path. You will also collaborate closely with onshore managers and team leads to communicate status updates and ensure that Veeva’s industry-leading platforms are delivered with the speed and reliability our life sciences customers expect.
Key Responsibilities
Support and optimize the existing release and change management processes.
Execute and manage end-to-end deployment activities for every sprint.
Manage daily operations using CI/CD tools like Git, Jenkins, and JIRA.
Coordinate with Engineering and Tech Ops to ensure environment stability.
Troubleshoot build failures and deployment bottlenecks in real-time.
Communicate release status and risks to onshore managers and technical leads.
Document deployment procedures and maintain release versioning records.
Collaborate on automating manual steps within the release pipeline.
Skills & Eligibility
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Programming: Understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and scripting.
Tools: Hands-on familiarity with Git (version control) and Jenkins (build automation).
Process: Knowledge of Agile methodologies and JIRA for task tracking.
Mindset: Highly technical, self-motivated, and efficient in high-pressure release windows.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to work with global distributed teams.
Preferred: Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) or containerization.
