Job Description

  • As a Software Engineer I, candidates will contribute to the development and maintenance of software applications used across scientific and laboratory environments.
  • The role provides exposure to modern software engineering technologies and practices, including programming, web development, APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, automated testing, and continuous integration and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Skills & Eligibility

  • Software Engineer I:
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • No prior software development experience is required.
  • Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of web technologies including HTML5, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Understanding of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and data structures.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of automated testing and test-driven development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
