Key Responsibilities

Work closely with senior engineering mentors to design, develop, test, and maintain code in Python, Golang, or similar languages.
Implement new system features, identify bugs, debug code, and track issues within core Red Hat products like RHEL and OpenShift.
Collaborate actively with cross-functional departments including Quality Engineering (QE), User Experience Designers, Product Management, and Technical Documentation teams.
Participate in learning curriculum, technical sessions, and mentorship workshops organized by Red Hat’s Emerging Talent Team.
Engage with global engineering cohorts and contribute directly to open-source software initiatives.

Full-time matriculated students in tertiary educational institutions (Engineering / Science streams).
Must be able to commit to the full 6-month internship program duration from January to July 2026 .
Degree Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related technical disciplines.
Basic knowledge of and strong passion for Software Engineering principles and open-source systems.
Programming proficiency or willingness to work with languages such as Python, Golang, Java, or JavaScript .
Exposure to core software development tooling, including GitHub, Agile development frameworks, and Linux environments.
Strong problem-solving capability, curiosity, and a drive to understand underlying software architectures.
Good working knowledge of written and spoken English for global team collaboration.
