Job Description
As part of the Siemens EDA Recruitment 2026 drive, we are seeking a highly motivated software engineer to join the QuestaSim R&D team. Your development responsibilities will encompass driving core algorithmic advances, crafting software architecture, and optimizing code for electronic simulations.
You will collaborate closely with a senior group of software engineers to deliver production-level quality components. This role demands strong self-discipline, a passion for solving complex analytical problems, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while creating new algorithmic engines and supporting existent code.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize core algorithms and software architecture using C/C++.
Collaborate with senior software engineers to deliver production-level, high-quality software components.
Create innovative simulation engines and provide ongoing support and enhancements to existing codebases.
Utilize advanced knowledge of compiler concepts, optimizations, and parallel job distribution.
Apply Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms for complex data-driven tasks.
Take strong personal ownership of project goals, demonstrating self-motivation and the ability to guide peers toward project completion.
Skills & Eligibility
Education: B.E, B.Tech, M.E, or M.Tech degree in Computer Science (CSE), Electrical Engineering (EE), or Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) from a reputed college.
Experience: 0 to 2 years of relevant working experience (ideal for Freshers).
Core Programming: Deep proficiency in C/C++, advanced data structures, and complex algorithms.
Hardware Knowledge: Strong grasp of Basic Digital Electronics Concepts, Verilog, System Verilog, and VHDL.
Environment: Solid experience working within UNIX and/or LINUX platforms.
Bonus Skills: Exposure to Simulation or Formal-based verification methodologies is a significant plus.
