As a CAD/EDA Methodology Engineer at Qualcomm, you will develop, maintain, and optimize software automation tools and infrastructure that drive ASIC Front-End design flows.
Develop, maintain, and enhance automation tools and infrastructure supporting ASIC Front-End design workflows.
Analyze existing chip design workflows and propose scalable software solutions to enhance productivity, efficiency, and usability.
Implement robust software-based automation using Python, Perl, C++, or shell scripting languages.
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in CAD tools, automated design scripts, and engineering flows.
Collaborate closely with internal digital design and CAD teams to understand hardware requirements and deliver customized solutions.
Support internal engineering customers by enabling the adoption of newly developed methodologies and software tools.
Contribute to comprehensive documentation, tool validation, and continuous improvement of engineering flows.
Explore and evaluate AI/ML-based techniques to improve EDA tool performance and front-end design efficiency.

Skills & Eligibility
Degree: B.E / B.Tech or M.E / M.Tech from a recognized university or institute.
Stream / Specialization: Electronics, Electronics & Communication (ECE), or VLSI Design stream.
Experience: 0 to 1 year of experience in CAD/EDA automation, software development, or RTL design.
Strong programming skills in Python (preferred) , Perl, C++, or similar languages.
Solid understanding of software development principles, data structures, debugging, and problem-solving techniques.
Experience working in Linux / Unix development environments and shell scripting.
Basic understanding of ASIC Front-End design flows, digital logic, and RTL concepts is desirable.
Exposure to AI/ML concepts and their integration into engineering workflows is a plus.
Excellent analytical, verbal communication, and team collaboration skills.
