Key Responsibilities
- Apply software engineering knowledge to assist and support the design, creation, modification, development, and system validation of embedded software and cloud edge software infrastructure.
- Assist senior engineers in analyzing technical user requirements and high-level software functional specs.
- Design, code, and implement smaller software features for Qualcomm’s core system products.
- Participate actively in structural unit testing, minor debugging fixes, and code integration efforts to ensure product milestones are met on schedule.
- Assist in performing code reviews and automated regression tests, alongside triaging system issues to ensure code stability.
- Write and update clear technical documentation for assigned software engineering projects.
- Supervision: Works under structured supervision while gaining autonomy over core assignments.
- Impact: Decision-making primarily affects direct individual deliverables and immediate work groups.
- Task Complexity: Tasks involve multi-step problem-solving and require planning, prioritization, and analytical thinking to execute reliably.
Skills & Eligibility
- Must possess a completed Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field from a recognized university.
- Open primarily to the latest graduating freshers with strong foundational knowledge in data structures, algorithms, and system programming.
- Strong logic-driven programming fundamentals and exposure to software architecture principles.
- Familiarity with foundational compiler concepts, embedded architectures, or cloud edge computing environments is highly advantageous.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to articulate routine factual information clearly within cross-functional teams.
