As a software engineering intern, you will design and develop software for Qualcomm’s mobile chipsets, which are based on cutting-edge technology. Qualcomm is looking for passionate engineers to work across diverse domains, including Multimedia Technologies (Audio/Video codecs, Image Processing), Wireless Modem Technologies (4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Self-Organizing Networks), Platform Level SW (Linux, Android, Windows, Board Support Packages), and IoT Technologies (Connected Cameras, Smart Assistants, Drones, Virtual/Augmented Reality).
Key Responsibilities
Development of real-time embedded software and device drivers.
Mobile software stack, firmware, and driver development for Windows Mobile, Android, or Linux embedded platforms.
Wireless modem and connectivity software development.
Communication protocol stack software development.
Application software and User Interface (UI) development.
Contributing to software architecture design for high-performance embedded devices.
Skills & Eligibility
Must be pursuing a Master’s degree ( M.E / M.Tech / M.Sc ) in Computer Science Engineering, Communication Engineering, ECE, or a related field.
Exclusively open to 2025 Master’s Grads who are available for a full 1-year internship program .
Strong proficiency in C/C++ and object-oriented design principles.
Good understanding of Operating System (OS) concepts and Data Structures.
Familiarity with Linux/UNIX, Linux Drivers, and Linux Kernel Development.
Understanding of network protocols like TCP, UDP, IP, SIP, and RTP.
Exposure to wireless network standards such as CDMA, GSM, UMTS, and LTE.
Basic knowledge of multimedia technologies including Audio, Video, and Imaging.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to collaborate seamlessly within cross-functional engineering teams.
