Job Description
As a Systems Engineer at Okta, you will be at the heart of how our global workforce communicates and collaborates. You won’t just be maintaining systems; you will be responsible for architecting workflows and ensuring that our productivity stack—from Google Workspace to Slack and Gemini—works seamlessly for every employee. You will lead the deployment and troubleshooting of enterprise AI tools, ensuring they are integrated safely into daily workflows while serving as a Tier 3 escalation point for complex technical issues in a 24/7 global environment.
Your role involves a heavy focus on governance and automation . You will define global standards for tool usage, security permissions, and data governance, implementing “least privilege” access models. By using APIs and scripting languages like Python or Apps Script , you will identify manual bottlenecks and automate repetitive administrative tasks. You will also partner with cross-functional teams to create technical documentation and drive high adoption rates of new features across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and optimize core suites: Google Workspace, Gemini, Slack, Asana, and Smartsheet.
Lead the integration and troubleshooting of enterprise AI tools (Gemini) .
Architect automated workflows using Python, Apps Script, or Bash .
Act as a Tier 3 escalation point for complex global technical issues.
Define and enforce global standards for security permissions and data governance.
Drive adoption of new tools through technical documentation and cross-functional partnerships.
Implement and audit Least Privilege Access models across the productivity stack.
Monitor system integrations and lead large-scale migration projects.
Skills & Eligibility
Education: Bachelor’s in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
Google Workspace: Knowledge of DNS, Mail routing, Google Vault, and DLP.
AI Proficiency: Interest or experience in deploying AI-driven interfaces (Gemini/LLMs).
Automation: Proficiency in Python, Apps Script, or Bash for system integration.
Admin Tools: Administrative experience with Slack, Asana, or Smartsheet.
Governance: Understanding of security standards and data governance practices.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to influence technical standards.
Mindset: Proactive “owner” mentality with the ability to execute with excellence.
