Key Responsibilities

Own and deliver end-to-end features for JioHotstar’s user-facing applications.
Build features with strong performance, accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
Collaborate with product stakeholders to develop new website and TV application features.
Evaluate the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
Implement frontend experiences based on product and design requirements.
Build reusable code and cross-functional libraries.
Contribute to JioHotstar’s internal design system.
Document solutions through technical documentation, DFDs and code comments.
Write clean, efficient and maintainable code.
Follow software engineering best practices.
Participate in code reviews and incorporate technical feedback.

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience: 0–2 years of professional experience as a frontend developer.
JavaScript: Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript.
Browser Knowledge: Deep understanding of how web browsers work.
Architecture: Understanding of design and architecture patterns.
Frontend Frameworks: Knowledge of React, AngularJS or a similar framework.
Git: Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
Build Tools: Familiarity with frontend build tools such as Grunt or Gulp.
Problem Solving: Strong technical reasoning and ability to work through complex engineering problems.
Learning: Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and frameworks.
Open Source: Open-source contributions are considered an advantage.
JavaScript is one of the most important technical requirements for this position. Candidates should be comfortable writing modern JavaScript and understanding how frontend applications execute within a browser.
Along with JavaScript, candidates should understand the role of frontend frameworks such as React or AngularJS . The job description does not require candidates to know every frontend framework, but expects them to understand why frameworks are used and how they support the development of large applications.
Candidates should also understand reusable components, application architecture and frontend design patterns.
