Job Description

As a Junior iOS Engineer at Jet2TT, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of mission-critical mobile applications. You will work under the mentorship of senior engineers to build new features, optimize app performance, and ensure a high-quality user experience. This role emphasizes writing clean, readable, and maintainable code while adhering to the latest Apple ecosystem standards and Agile delivery practices.
Your daily activities will involve working with REST APIs and JSON to integrate backend services into the mobile experience. You will participate in the full software development lifecycle, from sprint planning and daily stand-ups to debugging and performance tuning. This is an ideal role for someone motivated to master iOS development patterns like MVVM and gain international exposure by collaborating with UK-based stakeholders.

Develop and maintain customer-facing iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI .
Contribute to the implementation of new features and app transformations.
Write high-quality, maintainable code following industry best practices.
Integrate mobile applications with backend services via REST APIs and JSON .
Support debugging, unit testing, and performance optimization of applications.
Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Retrospectives).
Stay updated with the latest iOS trends, tools, and Apple documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Designers, Backend Devs, and QA.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related Engineering field.
iOS Foundations: Basic understanding of the Apple ecosystem and Swift programming.
Frameworks: Familiarity with SwiftUI is a significant advantage.
Architecture: Basic knowledge of mobile architecture patterns such as MVC or MVVM .
Integrations: Understanding of REST APIs, JSON data handling, and HTTP basics.
Tools: Awareness of version control using Git ; exposure to Firebase is a plus.
Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
