Key Responsibilities

  • Quality assurance is one of the central responsibilities of the Associate E-File Analyst. The analyst will test tax software before and after releases to help ensure that changes do not negatively affect existing functionality.
  • Regression testing verifies that previously working functionality continues to operate correctly after software changes. The role includes forms and MTB regression testing before and after releases.
  • When a defect or discrepancy is identified, the analyst must document the issue accurately in the tracking system, follow up with developers and ensure timely resolution and closure.
  • Analysts create diverse test scenarios using locators to validate software functionality and confirm that the expected XML output is produced.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating with developers, Business Analysts and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Copilot.
  • Ability to use AI for test case generation, data analysis and process optimization.
  • Understanding of AI-driven QA practices and willingness to learn emerging technologies.
