Customer Success Engineers at IBM work closely with core technical teams to guide, support, and scale critical client engagements. As an engineering intern, you will directly support technical sales and architecture squads by researching, analyzing, and developing key technical assets across IBM’s strategic Data & AI, Automation, and Cloud Infrastructure portfolios. This 6-month track provides robust, hands-on exposure to enterprise tech architectures used in high-value customer environments.
Your day-to-day operations will involve reviewing business use cases, mapping customer workflows, and creating architectural diagrams, solution briefs, and comprehensive competitive analysis matrices. Additionally, you will assist engineering squads in building and documenting simple software demos or Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) utilizing modern tools and data-centric scripts. This role requires rapid technology absorption, strong technical analytical writing, and structured collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct research on IBM Automation, Data & AI, and Infrastructure solutions to document enterprise business use cases.
Create highly technical presentations, structured solution briefs, and comprehensive system architecture diagrams.
Assist engineering teams in building, configuring, and documenting simple technical demos and proof-of-concepts (PoCs).
Perform deep market research, conducting competitive analyses to summarize key IBM differentiators.
Support technical enablement frameworks and help organize shared knowledge-management asset repositories.
Produce concrete project deliverables, including portfolio summaries, demo guides, and final technical comparison reports.
Skills & Eligibility
Education: Currently pursuing a degree in B.E / B.Tech / BS / M.E / M.Tech / MS from a recognized institute.
Academic Standing: Must maintain a strict minimum score of 75% or 7.5 CGPA and above throughout the academic course.
Branch Specialization: Exclusively open to circuit branches (e.g., Computer Science, IT, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, or allied streams).
Experience: Technical freshers with a keen interest in enterprise infrastructures, hybrid cloud systems, and generative AI.
Tool Familiarity: Preliminary familiarity with Python programming, data analysis via Microsoft Excel, and technical storytelling using Microsoft PowerPoint is preferred.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving instincts combined with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication habits.
