Key Responsibilities

As a CA Industrial Trainee at Harman Corporate, your operational responsibilities will include the following finance and accounting practices:
Month-End Closing Processes: Drafting, preparing, and posting standard and ad-hoc journal ledger entries, covering operational accruals, provisions, reserves, structural reclasses, and financial recharges.
Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Reconciling structural balance sheet accounts using global corporate templates, executing aging analysis, and pinpointing unusual structural balances.
Financial Data System Management: Maintaining master data records, cost centers, and tracking codes inside corporate SAP ERP environments.
Corporate Financial Consolidation: Reporting active, validated ledger financials into the dedicated global Harman consolidation system for corporate-level review.
Compliance Review Coordination: Performing periodic reviews on general ledger control documentation, ensuring absolute adherence to local and international statutory tax and audit guidelines.
Cross-Border Stakeholder Relations: Collaborating with dynamic general ledger teams and regional corporate managers across Harman’s international business divisions.

Candidates aiming to secure an evaluation slot with Harman’s global finance desk must satisfy the following academic and technical benchmarks:
Educational Credentials: Must be a registered CA Student who has cleared Intermediate exams and is currently a **CA Finalist** looking to pursue exactly 1 year of mandatory Industrial Training.
Domain Knowledge: Solid foundational accounting principles, with a clear understanding of international financial reporting standards, specifically US GAAP and IFRS frameworks.
Enterprise Systems: Foundational familiarity with structural financial data points, such as Chart of Accounts, cost objects, cost centers, and WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) elements. Prior exposure to SAP is highly valued.
Analytical Toolkit: Exceptional command over the **MS Office Suite**, specifically advanced data operations in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint presentation layouts, and Microsoft Word documentation.
