Job Description

As a Web Developer at Gallagher, you will execute critical delivery tasks across multiple digital projects, ensuring the absolute success of client deliveries and maintaining strict consumer-grade web standards. You will excel in task-based workflows, collaborating tightly with project management, backend developers, and client-facing roles using agile tools like JIRA.
Your day-to-day operations will involve utilizing Content Management Systems (CMS) to manage and update page content accurately, leveraging GitHub for robust version control, and performing rigorous Quality Assurance (QA) validations. You will be expected to interpret technical instructions accurately, manage your time efficiently, and proactively identify opportunities to optimize digital performance and elevate the user experience.

JIRA Expertise: Analyze and interpret JIRA tickets to deliver effective solutions, ensuring code amendments are executed with absolute precision.
Content Management: Utilize Content Management Systems (CMS) to efficiently add, update, and manage high-quality web page content.
Version Control: Leverage GitHub for repository management, change tracking, pull requests, code reviews, and resolving merge conflicts.
Website Configurations: Manage core web architecture, content hierarchy, page planning, and secure asset uploads.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough QA testing and validation of updates. Proactively identify, document, and report bugs to cross-functional teams.
Continuous Improvement: Offer innovative architectural suggestions to enhance site functionality and optimize digital performance.

Education: Minimum Required Degree: Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) or Bachelor of Computer Engineering (BE).
Special Training: Certifications or special training in Web/Software Development are highly preferred.
Analytical Thinking: Strong capability to comprehend complex digital content structures and apply them logically.
Task Execution: Proven proficiency in interpreting complex instructions from Jira tickets and mapping them to project requirements.
Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to identifying web vulnerabilities and flagging issues to project stakeholders immediately.
Soft Skills: Excellent time management, independent task execution, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
