Job Description
As a C++ Apps Dev Programmer Analyst at Citigroup, you will play an active role in establishing and implementing new or revised application systems in close coordination with the wider global technology team. Your core focus will center on C++ application development, debugging, and systems analysis for critical enterprise business applications. You will write basic code to design specifications, implement script tools, and execute comprehensive software testing loops to ensure execution precision.
You will leverage your analytical reasoning to make evaluative judgments, identify system bottlenecks, and recommend effective enhancements. Furthermore, you will build a foundational understanding of Citi’s internal information ecosystems—including client-server application models, database management systems, network operations, and data center configurations. Crucially, you will evaluate and mitigate risks in every technical modification, protecting the firm’s reputation and safeguarding client assets in accordance with strict legal and compliance regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business and system processes to identify and define necessary application upgrades.
Design, write, and debug clean code utilizing C++ and supporting scripting languages.
Conduct structural testing, defect isolation, and patch deployment for business systems.
Collaborate with technology partners to implement modifications within client-server applications.
Evaluate options under unforeseen technical incidents and make logical remediation choices.
Assess operational risks across code implementations to ensure strict regulatory compliance.
Draft technical workflows, test summaries, and structural documentation for internal knowledge repositories.
Escalate and report systemic control anomalies or policy deviations transparently.
Skills & Eligibility
Education: Bachelor’s degree, University degree, or equivalent in CS, IT, or related streams.
Experience: 0 to 2 years. Ideal for recent graduates and tech freshers.
Programming: Strong foundational command of C++ and core object-oriented programming (OOP) paradigms.
Concepts: Understanding of basic client-server computing architectures and database fundamentals.
Analysis: Solid problem-solving and critical thinking skills to execute evaluative judgments.
Communication: Highly structured, concise, and clear written and verbal communication abilities.
