Key Responsibilities

  • As an Engineer I – Quality & Testing, you will work closely with engineering teams to understand functional and performance requirements. You will assist in translating business requirements into test cases, setup testing environments, run automated test suites, and troubleshoot software defects across the software development life cycle (SDLC).

  • Support requirement reviews and sprint planning sessions to understand product expectations.
  • Translate business requirements and user stories into detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of manual and automated test environments.
  • Execute test charters and leverage automated testing suites to explore edge cases and ensure quality standards.
  • Conduct initial root cause analysis on software defects, document system responses, and assign severity levels.
  • Maintain automation scripts, collect test metrics, and generate regular quality reports.
  • Partner with Quality Engineers to modernize, simplify, and expand testing coverage.

Skills & Eligibility

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 0 to 2 years of direct experience in software quality engineering or testing.
  • Preferred Certifications (Bonus): Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST), Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), or Certified Test Engineer (CSTE).
  • Mandatory Tools: Proficiency with Playwright (TypeScript), Azure DevOps, Bug Tracking tools, API Testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, TestCollab), and MS Office.
  • Technical Competencies: Automated screening, IT controls knowledge, test script writing, technical documentation, and software testing frameworks.
  • Nice to Have Skills: Experience with Selenium, Cucumber, Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL, or performance testing tools like LoadRunner.
  • Behavioral Skills: Critical thinking, assertiveness, creativity, multitasking, and organizational skills.
