Job Description
As an Associate Test Automation Engineer, you will be deeply involved in the automated verification and validation of products throughout the development lifecycle. You will leverage your professional knowledge of Test Automation , programming, and test methodologies to ensure the highest standards of software quality. Your role will focus on independent design and execution of automation frameworks that support rapid delivery in an Agile environment.
You will be expected to work with standard automation tools such as Selenium and UFT . Responsibilities include designing, developing, debugging, and executing automation scripts to identify software defects early. You will also stay abreast of the latest developments in the QA field, ensuring that Capgemini’s testing processes remain efficient, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Automated verification and validation of software products in a structured development process.
Design, develop, and debug automation scripts using tools like Selenium and UFT .
Execute test automation solutions independently and report on system defects.
Collaborate with engineers and developers to understand product requirements and test environments.
Maintain and upgrade existing automation frameworks to improve performance and coverage.
Ensure that the automated suites are integrated into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous feedback.
Follow established test techniques and methodologies to ensure high-quality delivery.
Stay updated on the latest trends and tools in the QA Automation landscape.
Skills & Eligibility
Education: B.E/B.Tech degree from a recognized university.
Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of Test Automation tools (Selenium, UFT/QTP).
Programming: Foundational knowledge in languages such as Java, C#, or Python .
Test Techniques: Understanding of various test techniques, environments, and methodologies.
Debugging: Strong ability to debug scripts and perform root-cause analysis of test failures.
Analytical: Strong problem-solving and logical reasoning skills.
Soft Skills: Good communication skills and a proactive approach to learning.
