Job Description

  • As an Associate Quality Engineer at Altera, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and reliability of web and desktop healthcare applications. Your primary focus will be comprehensive manual testing and WebAPI validation , ensuring that endpoints and request/response structures maintain data integrity. You will work within an Agile DevOps framework, contributing to CI/CD pipelines and a culture of continuous quality improvement.
  • Your daily tasks will include documenting and tracking defects, collaborating with developers for timely resolutions, and conducting thorough regression testing . You will use tools like Postman or Swagger for API checks and Jira or Azure DevOps for test management. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented individual eager to learn new testing techniques and adapt to the evolving landscape of healthcare technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute manual test cases for desktop and web apps to identify defects.
  • Validate WebAPI endpoints and request/response structures for data integrity.
  • Collaborate with product teams to define test strategies and requirements.
  • Document, track, and prioritize defects through the entire defect lifecycle .
  • Participate in Agile/DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline awareness.
  • Conduct regression testing to ensure existing features remain stable.
  • Improve testing methodologies and tools within an agile framework.
  • Learn and adapt to the specific technical suite of Altera’s health IT products.

Skills & Eligibility

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a technical field preferred.
  • Experience: 0–2 years in Software QA, manual, or API testing.
  • Manual Testing: Strong understanding of testing principles and methodologies.
  • API Testing: Hands-on knowledge of tools like Postman, SoapUI, or Swagger .
  • Frameworks: Familiarity with SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • DevOps: Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines .
  • SQL: Basic knowledge of database concepts and SQL (Good to have).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
