You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

  • Choose a strong and secure password where applicable

5. Purchases and Payment

Paid Features

Certain features on the Platform - including premium job listing plans for employers, recruiters, and staffing agencies - are available on a paid basis. All applicable fees will be clearly displayed before you complete a purchase.

Payment Processing

All payments on the Platform are processed securely through Razorpay. We accept the following payment methods:

  • Credit cards and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, and other supported networks)
  • UPI (Unified Payments Interface)
  • Any other methods made available through Razorpay from time to time

We do not store your full card or payment details on our servers. All payment data is handled directly by Razorpay in accordance with their security standards.

Currencies

Joblit supports transactions in multiple currencies. The applicable currency will be displayed at checkout based on your location. Please note that your bank or payment provider may apply additional conversion fees for cross-border transactions, which are beyond our control.

Taxes

Prices displayed may or may not include applicable taxes (such as GST for Indian transactions). Any applicable taxes will be itemised at checkout. You are responsible for any taxes, duties, or levies imposed by your jurisdiction in connection with your purchase.

Billing Accuracy

You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all transactions. You authorise us to charge your selected payment method for all fees incurred.

Refund Policy

If you are not satisfied with a one-time purchase, you may request a refund within 14 days of the original transaction date, provided the purchased feature or plan has not been materially used or activated. Refund requests must be submitted to legal@joblit.in with your order details. Approved refunds will be processed via the original payment method within 7–10 business days.

We reserve the right to decline refund requests where there is evidence of misuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms.

6. Subscriptions

Subscription Plans

Joblit offers subscription-based plans for employers, recruiters, staffing agencies, and campus partners. Subscription plans are available on a monthly or annual billing cycle. Details of available plans, features, and pricing are displayed on the Platform and may be updated from time to time.

Auto-Renewal

All subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annual) unless you cancel before the renewal date. By subscribing, you authorise Joblit to charge your payment method on file via Razorpay for each renewal period at the then-current subscription rate.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before your subscription renews. However, it is your responsibility to manage and cancel your subscription if you do not wish to be charged for the next cycle.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at legal@joblit.in. Upon cancellation:

  • Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period
  • You will not be charged for the next renewal cycle
  • No partial refunds will be issued for the unused portion of the current billing period, unless otherwise required by applicable law

Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of any price changes via email or a notice on the Platform. Continued use of the subscription after the effective date of a price change constitutes your acceptance of the new pricing.

Failed Payments

If a renewal payment fails, we will attempt to notify you and may retry the charge. If payment cannot be collected after reasonable attempts, your subscription may be downgraded to a free plan or suspended until payment is resolved.

7. Policy

No Refunds on Subscriptions

All subscription fees paid to Joblit are non-refundable. When you purchase a subscription plan, you are paying for access to the Platform's premium features for the full duration of the billing cycle, regardless of whether you actively use those features.

This means:

  • No refunds will be issued for unused days or months remaining in your subscription period after cancellation
  • No refunds will be issued if your account is suspended or terminated due to a violation of these Terms
  • No refunds will be issued for renewal charges if you fail to cancel your subscription before the renewal date

No Free Trials

Joblit does not currently offer free trials for any subscription plan. You are encouraged to review all plan features and pricing carefully before subscribing.

One-Time Purchases

For one-time purchases (such as individual job listing credits or standalone paid features), our 14-day refund policy as described in Section 5 applies.

Exceptions

Nothing in this Policy limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction that cannot be contractually waived. If you believe you are entitled to a refund under such laws, please contact us at legal@joblit.in and we will review your request accordingly.

14. Third-Party Websites and Content

Sources of Third-Party Listings

In addition to job opportunities posted directly by employers on Joblit, we also aggregate and display listings sourced from a variety of external providers, including:

  • Job boards such as LinkedIn Jobs, Indeed, Naukri, and similar platforms
  • Company career pages - listings sourced directly from employer websites
  • Government job portals - public sector and government recruitment notices
  • Employer-posted listings - opportunities submitted directly by employers or recruiters through third-party channels and republished on Joblit

We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy and legitimacy of third-party listings displayed on the Platform. However, we do not verify, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any third-party listing.

How Applications Work

The application process for third-party listings varies depending on the source:

  • Some listings will redirect you to an external website, company career page, or job board to complete your application - in such cases, you will leave the Joblit Platform
  • Some listings may allow you to apply directly through Joblit, in which case your application data may be shared with the respective employer or third-party provider
  • Some listings may direct you to contact the employer through external means

You are responsible for reviewing the terms, privacy policy, and application process of any third-party platform or employer before submitting your application or personal data.

No Liability for Third-Party Content

Joblit is not responsible for:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or legitimacy of any third-party job listing
  • The hiring practices, conduct, or decisions of any employer or recruiter
  • Any loss, harm, or disappointment arising from applying to or interacting with a third-party listing
  • The content, security, or privacy practices of any external website you are directed to

If you encounter a suspicious, misleading, or fraudulent listing on the Platform, please report it to us at legal@joblit.in and we will investigate promptly.

External Links

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites for informational or operational purposes. These links do not constitute an endorsement of those websites. We encourage you to read the terms and privacy policies of any external site you visit.

15. Services Management

Our Right to Manage the Platform

  • Refuse, restrict, or discontinue access to the Platform for any user, at any time, at our sole discretion

Active Monitoring

Joblit actively monitors Platform activity for signs of policy violations, fraudulent behaviour, fake listings, spam, and other misuse. By using the Platform, you acknowledge and consent to such monitoring to the extent permitted by applicable law. Monitoring does not guarantee that all violations will be detected or acted upon in every instance.

Geographic Restrictions

We reserve the right to limit or restrict access to the Platform - or to specific features of the Platform - based on geographic location, at any time and for any reason, including compliance with local laws, regulatory requirements, or business decisions.

Maintenance & Downtime

We reserve the right to take the Platform offline, in whole or in part, for scheduled maintenance, emergency repairs, upgrades, or other operational reasons. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned maintenance where possible. Joblit shall not be liable for any loss, inconvenience, or damages arising from Platform downtime or restricted access.

No Obligation to Act

Nothing in this Section creates an obligation on Joblit to monitor, detect, or act upon any particular violation or report. Our right to act is discretionary and does not create a duty of care to any individual user.

16. Privacy Policy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at www.joblit.in/privacy-policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal data when you use the Platform.

Our Response

Upon receiving a valid infringement notice, we will:

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to legal@joblit.in with the relevant details and a good-faith explanation. We will review all counter-notices and restore content where appropriate under applicable law.

18. Term and Termination

Duration

These Terms remain in full force and effect for as long as you use the Platform or maintain an active account with Joblit. Certain provisions of these Terms - including those relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law - survive termination and continue to apply indefinitely.

Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by using the account deletion feature within your account settings or by contacting us at legal@joblit.in. Upon termination, your access to the Platform will cease and your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the data retention period described therein.

Termination by Joblit

  • Your Contributions may be removed from the Platform, subject to our data retention obligations under the Privacy Policy
  • Any obligations you owe to Joblit under these Terms remain enforceable

Appeals

If you believe your account was suspended or terminated in error, you may submit an appeal to legal@joblit.in within 30 days of the termination notice. Please include your registered email address, a description of the circumstances, and any supporting evidence. We will review your appeal in good faith and respond within a reasonable time. Joblit's decision on appeal is final.

19. Modifications and Interruptions

21. Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution First

Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform through good-faith negotiation. To initiate informal resolution:

  • The party raising the dispute must send a written notice to the other party describing the nature of the dispute and the relief sought
  • Joblit can be notified at legal@joblit.in with the subject line: "Dispute Notice - [Your Name / Company]"
  • Both parties agree to engage in good-faith discussions for a period of 30 days from the date of the notice before pursuing any formal legal remedy

Formal Legal Proceedings

If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within the 30-day period, either party may pursue their claims through the appropriate courts of competent jurisdiction in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, in accordance with Section 20 of these Terms.

Collective Claims

Nothing in these Terms prevents you from bringing or participating in collective or representative legal actions where permitted under applicable law. We do not impose a class action waiver on our users.

Time Limitation

Any claim or cause of action arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform must be filed within one (1) year of the date on which the claim arose, after which it will be permanently barred, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

Exceptions

Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek urgent injunctive or equitable relief from a court of competent jurisdiction at any time where necessary to prevent irreparable harm, without first completing the informal negotiation process.

31. Employers & Recruiters - Posting Standards, Data Use, Fees, and Liability

Employer Verification

Before posting any job listing on the Platform, all employers, recruiters, staffing agencies, and campus partners must complete Joblit's employer verification process. This includes providing accurate business information and any documentation we may reasonably request to confirm the legitimacy of your organisation. Joblit reserves the right to approve, reject, or revoke employer accounts at our sole discretion.

Verification of an employer account does not constitute an endorsement of any job listing posted by that employer. Individual job listings are not separately verified by Joblit.

Posting Standards

By posting a job listing on the Platform, you represent and warrant that:

  • The opportunity described is genuine, current, and accurately represents the role, responsibilities, compensation, and working conditions
  • The listing complies with all applicable employment, labour, and anti-discrimination laws in India and the relevant jurisdiction of the role
  • You have the legal authority to recruit for the position described
  • The listing does not contain misleading salary figures, fabricated perks, or exploitative conditions
  • You will promptly remove or update any listing that becomes inaccurate, filled, or no longer available

Use of Candidate Data

Candidate data accessed through the Platform may only be used for legitimate recruitment purposes directly related to your posted listing. You must not:

  • Use candidate data for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to recruitment
  • Share candidate data with third parties outside of the hiring process without the candidate's explicit consent
  • Retain candidate data beyond the period reasonably necessary for the recruitment process
  • Contact candidates through channels outside the Platform without their prior consent

Fees & Plans

Premium job listing plans and employer subscriptions are subject to the fees and terms described in Sections 5 and 6. All fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable except as provided in Section 7.

Employers and recruiters are solely responsible for the content of their listings, their recruitment conduct, and their compliance with applicable law. Joblit shall not be liable for any claim, loss, or damage arising from an employer's listing, hiring decision, or conduct toward candidates.

32. Job Seekers - Accuracy, Use of Information, and No Guarantee

Accuracy of Your Profile

As a job seeker, you are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and truthfulness of all information you submit on the Platform, including your resume, work experience, educational qualifications, skills, and salary expectations. Submitting false or misleading information may result in account termination and could expose you to legal liability toward employers who rely on your representations.

Use of Your Information

By creating a candidate profile on the Platform, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Your profile, resume, and relevant details may be visible to registered employers, recruiters, and staffing agencies on the Platform, subject to your privacy settings

  • You can manage your profile visibility and contact information privacy through your account settings at any time

No Guarantee of Employment

Joblit is a platform that facilitates connections between job seekers and employers. We do not guarantee:

  • That you will receive any job interviews, offers, or employment through the Platform
  • That any job listing accurately reflects the actual role, compensation, or working conditions offered by an employer
  • That salary figures displayed in listings or contributed by users reflect current market rates or what you will actually be offered
  • That AI-powered job recommendations will result in successful matches or applications

Salary & Listing Accuracy Disclaimer

Salary information displayed on the Platform - whether from employer listings or user-contributed salary data - is provided for informational purposes only. Joblit does not verify the accuracy of salary figures and shall not be liable for any discrepancy between advertised and actual compensation offered by employers.

Caution with Third-Party Listings

When applying for jobs sourced from third-party platforms or company career pages, you are leaving Joblit's environment. We strongly encourage you to:

  • Verify the legitimacy of the employer independently before sharing sensitive personal or financial information
  • Never pay any fee to an employer or recruiter in exchange for a job offer - legitimate employers do not charge candidates
  • Report any suspicious listing to legal@joblit.in immediately
