SymphonyAI is looking for a motivated and driven Java Engineer to join their global engineering team. This role is highly structured for early-career professionals who excel at problem-solving, writing reliable infrastructure code, and expanding their skill sets in a supportive ecosystem. Working closely with cross-functional product architecture lines, you will help design, refine, and deploy robust applications powering enterprise-grade solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, write, build, and maintain secure, scalable backend architecture components and microservices utilizing Java.
Support the full software development lifecycle of business-critical web applications and enterprise cloud services.
Collaborate actively alongside senior engineers, platform product managers, and quality assurance teams to map project requirements.
Write clean, modular, legible, and highly maintainable application code adhering closely to organizational best practices.
Participate productively in peer code reviews, leveraging constructive technical feedback to optimize code modules.
Debug, isolate, and troubleshoot production software defects to maximize application stability and operational execution scores.
Develop and manage unit test cases to maintain codebase coverage metrics and prevent regression issues.
Actively learn and adopt new programming languages, software tools, and cloud frameworks utilized across the engineering team.
Skills & Eligibility
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field (or equivalent practical field experience).
Experience: 1 to 2 years of professional, hands-on enterprise software development experience using Java.
Core Java: Sound understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Core Java fundamentals.
Java 8+ Features: Practical exposure to Java 8 and beyond, including Streams, Lambda expressions, and the Optional class.
Frameworks: Direct exposure to enterprise backend development using Spring or Spring Boot frameworks.
APIs & Databases: Foundational grasp of designing and integrating RESTful APIs alongside a working knowledge of SQL and standard relational database management systems.
Version Control: Routine familiarity handling code via Git or automated version control repositories.
Basic familiarity or hands-on experience working with frontend web architectures like ReactJS.
Introductory exposure to automated unit testing frameworks such as JUnit or Mockito through production environments or academic project modules.
Awareness of data caching mechanisms or memory cache tools like Redis.
Familiarity with Agile software development frameworks or standard Scrum methodologies.
Exposure to cloud computing landscapes, with a preference for Microsoft Azure, though AWS or GCP experience is also welcome.
High-level conceptual understanding of DevOps delivery pipelines or CI/CD concepts.
