Skills & Eligibility
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering . The job description specifically identifies Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field.
Applicants should check whether their degree specialization meets the employer’s requirements before submitting an application.
The stated experience requirement is 2–4 years in a production quality role . Experience in electronics manufacturing or PCBA manufacturing is preferred.
Candidates with relevant experience in manufacturing inspection, quality assurance, supplier quality, defect investigation, or production process improvement may find the responsibilities relevant, provided their background matches the stated requirements.
Applicants should have a strong understanding of IPC standards, particularly IPC-A-610 , which is associated with the acceptability of electronic assemblies.
Knowledge of the applicable acceptance criteria can help quality engineers assess assembly workmanship, identify defects, and determine whether inspected products meet the required standards.
Experience with visual inspection techniques is an important requirement. Candidates should be familiar with checking products and electronic assemblies for visible defects, including soldering issues, component misplacement, and other manufacturing anomalies.
Applicants should be prepared to describe their inspection methods, how they record defects, and how they escalate quality issues for corrective action.
The job description calls for familiarity with the following:
ISO 9001 quality management systems.
Lean manufacturing methodologies.
Six Sigma methodologies.
Quality control systems for manufacturing processes.
Internal audits and support for external or customer audits.
Knowledge of these approaches can help candidates understand how quality procedures are maintained, how process problems are investigated, and how improvement activities are documented and monitored.
Candidates should be proficient in data analysis, root cause analysis, and quality reporting. The role requires monitoring quality metrics, identifying trends, reporting non-conformances, and initiating corrective or improvement actions.
Applicants should be able to explain how they use inspection findings, production data, and defect trends to identify problems and support evidence-based decisions.
Good communication and teamwork skills are required. The Quality Engineer will collaborate with production, project, engineering, and supplier teams to resolve quality concerns and improve manufacturing processes.
Candidates should be comfortable documenting technical findings, explaining defects, coordinating corrective actions, and training production personnel on applicable quality standards and inspection techniques.
