As a QA Intern at Pitney Bowes, you will contribute to the reliability and performance of our global web and mobile (Android/iOS) applications. You will work alongside senior QA engineers to write and execute test cases, identify critical defects, and perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing. This role is designed to provide a 360-degree foundation in Manual and Automation testing , ensuring our products meet the high standards expected by our enterprise clients.
You will perform specialized Mobile App Testing including installation, OS version validation, and device compatibility using real devices and cloud platforms like BrowserStack . Your role includes validating REST APIs using Postman and learning automation tools like Selenium and Appium . Operating in an Agile environment, you will participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning, documenting test results to improve overall product stability and deployment readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Test web and mobile applications for functionality, usability, and performance.
Draft and execute test cases, scenarios, and checklists based on requirements.
Perform manual functional, regression, and UI testing across platforms.
Conduct device compatibility and OS version validation for Android/iOS apps.
Identify, log, and track software bugs using JIRA .
Validate REST API endpoints and payloads using Postman .
Support automation initiatives using Selenium (Web) and Appium (Mobile).
Execute smoke testing and build verification during production releases.
Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, retrospectives).
Learn industry-standard CI/CD workflows and QA best practices.
Skills & Eligibility
Education: Pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in CS, IT, or related technical field.
Testing Basics: Understanding of STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) and defect lifecycles.
Mobile Knowledge: Familiarity with Android/iOS app behavior and UI/UX principles.
Web Tech: Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Tools: Exposure to JIRA, Postman , or Android Studio/Xcode simulators is a plus.
Automation: Interest in learning Selenium, Appium, or Cypress.
Programming: Basic knowledge of Java, Python, or JavaScript is preferred.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive learning mindset.
