Job Description

As an Associate Software Engineer at Heizen, you will work closely with experienced senior engineers, product managers, and designers to build highly robust software solutions. Your primary objective will be to write clean, maintainable code across both backend and frontend architectures. You will transition from understanding core client requirements to independently contributing to end-to-end feature development.
Your day-to-day work will involve integrating REST APIs, managing database schemas (SQL/NoSQL), and handling basic cloud infrastructure deployments. Because Heizen values continuous learning, you will actively participate in rigorous code reviews, utilizing feedback from senior team members to sharpen your programming fundamentals. Write clean, highly maintainable, and scalable code for both frontend and backend applications.
Collaborate seamlessly on end-to-end feature development, taking features from initial requirements to live deployment.
Design, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs, databases, and fundamental cloud infrastructure components.
Actively participate in peer code reviews, learning modern architecture best practices from senior team members.
Contribute directly to the rigorous testing, debugging, and performance optimization of live applications.
Leverage AI tools and proprietary agents to accelerate development timelines and improve code quality.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
Experience: 0 to 2 years of software engineering experience. Ambitious freshers with strong technical fundamentals are highly encouraged to apply.
Core Languages: Proficiency in at least one major programming language, specifically Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript .
Software Fundamentals: Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), data structures, and complex algorithms.
Databases & APIs: Familiarity with designing REST APIs and querying both relational and non-relational databases (SQL/NoSQL).
Tools: Basic working knowledge of version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a passionate growth mindset.
