As a Software Engineer at GE Vernova, you will be responsible for programming a component, feature, or feature set. You will work independently while contributing to your immediate team and other cross-business teams. Your responsibilities include:
Collaborating with system engineers, frontend developers, and software developers to implement solutions that align with and extend shared platforms.
Applying principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, and refactoring.
Writing code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.
Understanding performance parameters and assessing application performance.
Working on core data structures and algorithms, implementing them using the language of choice.
Contributing actively to design discussions.
Skills & Eligibility
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) with basic experience.
Note for US roles: Minimum 2 years of experience required.
Experience working with GoLang .
Solid knowledge of Distributed System Concepts.
Working experience on AWS (EC2, EKS, S3, IAM, Lambda, ECS).
Working experience with Kubernetes.
Knowledge or working experience with Java and Python technologies.
Experience with distributed storage technologies (Cassandra, Kafka, etc.).
