Key Responsibilities
- As an infrastructure Systems Engineer at Cognizant, your deployment pipeline contributions will cover the following architectural responsibilities:
- Enterprise Deployment Automation: Administering localized and cloud-extended desktop configurations via SCCM collections to automate critical OS updates, feature changes, and secure patch delivery frameworks.
- Security Policy Compliance: Configuring, reviewing, and applying endpoint compliance protocols via Intune and Active Directory Group Policies to isolate vulnerabilities and secure data environments.
- Image Lifecycle Operations: Developing, updating, and troubleshooting customized master deployment images with MDT to secure seamless corporate hardware provisioning cycles for new asset assignees.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Executing technical structural diagnostics to systematically isolate and fix complex issues relating to SCCM clients, Intune sync bugs, and provisioning errors.
- Technical SOP Documentation: Authoring, structuring, and maintaining technical workflows, infrastructure runbooks, and resolution tracking maps to build unified internal support resources.
- Service Optimization Collaboration: Coordinating closely with service desk groups to observe trending runtime issues, mitigating recurring software glitches, and improving user productivity footprints.
Skills & Eligibility
- To qualify for the Systems Engineer benchmark at Cognizant, candidates must exhibit core technological proficiencies and systematic operational knowledge as listed below:
- Educational Background: A completed full-time B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech degree or equivalent scientific/quantitative computing streams.
- SCCM Infrastructure: 1 to 3 years of direct operational experience with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), focusing on enterprise application deployment models, automated software patch management, and client endpoint health tracking metrics.
- Modern Intune Management: Hands-on operational capability with Microsoft Intune device governance policies for Windows endpoints, including compliance rule enforcement, MDM profiles, and remote enrollment setups supporting hybrid workplace environments.
- Windows Configuration: Detailed knowledge of Windows client operating system parameter configurations, registry performance tuning, and deep diagnostics execution for system reliability optimization.
- OS Imaging Frameworks: Practical familiarity using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) and relative task sequence structures to successfully create, maintain, and flash standardized operating system master images.
- Preferred Certifications: Possessing a active Microsoft Certified Endpoint Administrator credential or similar industry-validated validation focused on SCCM, Intune, and enterprise client environment optimization will carry massive structural advantage.
- Operational Flexibility: Willingness and readied capability to perform effectively across dynamic rotational shifts to support continuous global enterprise infrastructure targets.
