Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor network dashboards and alerting systems (e.g., IRM) for anomalies and performance issues and perform initial triage of alerts, classifying severity and potential impact based on playbooks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents of low to moderate complexity affecting wired and wireless networks, routing, switching, and firewalls.
  • Manage user-reported network issues submitted via the ticketing system (e.g., GUTS) and provide timely updates to users and stakeholders on ticket status.
  • Implement routine and low-impact network changes following approved Change Requests (CRs) and MOPs, including port configurations, VLAN assignments, or software updates on single devices.
  • Maintain and update network diagrams and operational documentation, and contribute to knowledge base articles and playbooks based on issue resolutions.

Skills & Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience with network routing protocols, design, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with network equipment providers, enhanced interior gateway routing protocol (EIGRP), IP routing, LAN switching, and data center operations.
  • Experience with fundamental networking technologies (TCP/IP) and a wide range of protocols, including BGP, OSPF, ISIS, DHCP, IPSec, GRE, Wi-Fi standards, DNS, and Radius.
  • Direct, hands-on experience working within a network operations environment.
